This program prepares experienced clinicians to conduct formal, defensible neurodevelopmental evaluations that extend beyond single-condition screening. Training emphasizes integrated assessment across multiple developmental domains, especially when profiles are complex, overlapping, or identified later in life.
Assessment is taught as a structured process of pattern recognition, hypothesis testing, and clinical meaning-making across domains. Participants learn to integrate psychometric data, clinical interviews, developmental context, and lived experience into coherent formulations that are both clinically defensible and neuroaffirming.
Throughout the program, a neuroaffirming framework is maintained. The focus is functional impact, contextual demands, and individual variability, while avoiding deficit-based or pathologizing conclusions. Diagnosis is taught as one component of the assessment process, not its endpoint.
